Jared Shepard is the President / CEO of Intelligent Waves LLC (IW), a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) which he founded in 2006. He is an entrepreneur, a technical innovator, a leader, a philanthropist and a soldier. Jared’s priorities of “Mission and Service” are reflected through IW’s international support of the tactical, technical and strategic aspects of the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and through “Warriors Ethos” his veteran’s transition focused non-profit.
Mark spent 24 years in the U.S. Army as an accomplished Engineer and Special Forces Officer. His assignments included tours with the 101st ABN Div., 5th and 3rd Special Forces Groups, Joint Staff, and USSOCOM.
As the CTO, Marqus has responsibility for establishing the Intelligent Waves’ technical vision and leading all aspects of the company’s technology development to include IT Department, Training, R&D, T&E, and VAR activities. Marqus brings over fifteen years of experience in Technical Integration, Network Architecting, Data Center Design, Security, Telecommunications Operations, Mobility and Daily IT Infrastructure Sustainment on an assortment of DOD and DOJ Programs.
James spent 20 years in the U.S. Army as an accomplished Air Defense Artillery and Signal Officer. His assignments included tours with NATO, MNF-IRAQ, 3rd Mobile Armor Corps, and the 3rd Signal Brigade.
Matt Stern is the Vice President, Cybersecurity and Chief Information Security Officer responsible not only for the Cybersecurity Line of Business but also the cybersecurity for Intelligent Waves, LLC. Matt is a retired combat veteran serving 22 years in the U.S. Army. His service culminated with command of 2d Battalion, 1st Information Operations Command , the Army Computer Emergency Response Team (ACERT) and Regional Computer Emergency Response Teams (RCERTs).
Dan is a financial executive with over 18 years of a proven track record in organizational leadership, with a heavy emphasis on financial planning and accounting systems. Dan has worked at government contractors, software startups and public accounting firms. Notably, Dan worked for 8 years at USIS, where he was promoted 4 times and was the VP of Finance, leading the financial operations of a $200 million security services division.
Mark spent nearly 28 years in the U.S. Army as a highly decorated Infantry and Special Forces officer. His assignments in included combat service with the 24th Infantry Division (Mechanized) in the first Gulf War and multiple combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan with the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne). In addition to commanding the 5th Group, mark also served at SOCCENT, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and the National Security Council at the White House.
